Dove Tattoos

Dove Tattoos
Many people choose to get dove tattoos as symbols of their devotion to God. The Dove is a symbol of the Holy Ghost in some Christian denominations and is often used in representations of the Baptism of Jesus Christ, and the Pentecost. It also figures prominently of Noah and the Ark. According to the Bible, God released torrential rains that caused the whole world to flood, and only Noah and his family and the creatures aboard the Ark survived. After many weeks at sea, Noah released first a Raven, then a Dove, to search for land. The Dove returned with an olive branch, and Noah and his family rejoiced in the knowledge that the flood waters were retreating. The Dove thus became a powerful symbol as a harbinger of hope. And the dove figure prominently in Judaism too. In the Song of Solomon, the great erotic poetry of the Jewish scriptures, the dove is frequently used as a term of endearment: "How beautiful you are, my love, how very beautiful! Your eyes are doves behind your veil." The dove is also symbolic of other things as well. So, the dove tattoo can also be a symbol of peace or a symbol of the peace and happiness of the soul. Regardless of your religious beliefs the dove tattoo can be a beautiful and endearing part of any collection of body ink.
Dove Tattoos
The dove is in flight and the tattoo is on the arm. Ink that right below some of your dove tattoos. Not a bad saying if I say so myself. Dove’s have been displayed on so much art, why would it be any different when it comes to tattoos. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it’s very true when it comes to the world of tattoo art. I can see where the dove is pure and when someone looks at dove tattoos, they see a world of beauty with the flying of a bird. I do like this simple tattoo with the dove gliding in the wind with a green leaf being brought back to the nest to help protect the family from the foul weather approaching. That’s just one view from one viewer seeing this great tattoo. When it comes right down to dove tattoos, most of the time you will notice very distinct details about what the artist was trying to put into his or her message. That’s what is wonderful about any art form including dove tattoos, the view from every angle is different, so embrace it, think about what it says to you. All dove tattoos I have ever seen are very nice in their own little ways.
